World Snooker Northern Ireland Trophy 2008 Final

A regular fixture on the snooker calendar, the Northern Ireland Trophy supported by Belfast City Council returns to the Waterfront.The event features the world`s leading 32 players plus 16 qualifiers. Fighting for the title will be the likes of Ronnie O`Sullivan, Ken Doherty, defending champion Stephen Maguire and home favourites Joe Swail and Mark Allen.From 24-28 August all matches are played on a roll on/roll off basis. Play will start at the allocated time each day with a 15 minute interval between matches. The 4th, 5th and 6th match each day will not start before 3.00 pm. The evening session each day will not start before the time indicated on the format. Order of play and table numbers for all matches up to the quarter-finals will be determined the day before and published by the Tournament Director.


All matches up to and including the Quarter Finals will be best of 9 frames. The Semi Finals will be best of 11 frames and the Final will be best of 17 frames.Round 1 – Seeds 17-32 plus 16 qualifiers.Round 2 – Seeds 1-16 plus winners from Round 1Round 3 – Round 2 winners v each other.
