NI has new European Nations Individual Champion

Champion - Willie Eakin

A massive well done to Willie Eakin who is the new 2014 EBA European Nations Individual Champion. And to win it on home soil in Coleraine adds icing to the cake for the big man from Potters Snooker Club in the Town. In a drama filled final Willie held his nerve to oust Barry Finnan of England by 4-3

Also well done to Ballymena's Linzi McLelland who was runner up in the Ladies section and Brian Richardson in the Masters section.

Hugo Manson (Larne) and Paul O'Connor (Coleraine) were Runners Up in the Masters Doubles event.

In the Team events, Northern Ireland reached two Finals, agonisingly losing 16-17 in the Mens Final to Wales and 9-13 to England in the Seniors event.

It has been a fantastic four days for the NIPA on and off the table. We had representation in six finals on the green baize and hosted a top quality European Competition, the first on home soil in many years.

The Under 18s and Under 23s take centre stage now as they battle it out on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The competition is sure to be as competitive as the adult event. Good luck to all NI players in the coming three days.
