RIP "The Hurricane"


Northern Ireland's own Snooker legend, Alex "Hurricane" Higgins passed away today 24th July aged 61, after a long battle against throat cancer. Alex was a genius on the green baize and a pioneer for fast attacking snooker, winning the World Championship in 1972 and 1982.

One of his finest moments was his 69 clearance against Jimmy White in the Semi Final of the '82 Championships. You can view it by clicking here.
