Congratulations to Raymond Stockman from Coleraine (pictured right) who has won the first Seniors Tour event in the new NI Blackball Pool Tour. In a stamina sapping day in Shooters Pool Hall, Bangor, he overcame Davy Drysdale in the first round and Hugh McMurtry in the second. He then went on to beat Kenny Geddis in the Quarters followed by Robert Hawkins in the Semis. In the Final, he led 4-0 against Brian Crilly but was pulled back to 4-3. The 8th frame went to a 9 ball rerack and after a bout of safety play from both players, Stockman potted a do or die opening red and duly ran them out to clinch the victory.
Shooters management would like to apologise to players for the hold up in matches in this first event. An NIPA meeting coincided with the competition, but future dates will be arranged accordingly. Thanks for your patience yesterday.
