Newell storms to Seniors Event 6 win

Congratulations to Sam Newell who has just won Event 6 of the NI Seniors Blackball Tour on Sunday 11th March 2012. Wins against Stephen Johnston 5-3, Eric Sterrett 5-4 and Raymond Stockman 5-3 took Sam into a Final shoot out with Robert Bowman. Robert had made his way to the Final with wins over Jimmy McCullough 5-0, Hugh McMurtry 5-3 and Bill McIlroy 5-3.

With only 2 Events to go only 6 points seperate the top 4, Stephen Johnston from Lisburn leads on 54 followed by Sam Newell on 53. Raymond Stockman from Coleraine is in 3rd on 51 and Carrickfergus's Kenny English in 4th on 48. Event 7 of 8 is on Sunday 15th April in Shooters Pool Hall, Bangor.

Remember, players must have participated in at least 5 out of the 8 Events to qualify for Finals day on Sunday 17th June.
