Team round ups from European Championships

MENS A - Fantastic achievement for Ronan McCarthy's lads to get out of a very difficult group only to lose out to eventual winners England in the Semi Final.
MENS B1 - Good first campaign for new manager Sam Newell, but agonisingly two 17-16 defeats cost the team a Semi Final spot
MENS B2 - High hopes for a decent showing going in, but such is the Mens B standard now the team finished bottom off the table
SENIORS A - Like the Mens A, a great achievement to get out off a very difficult group losing in Semi Finals to Runners Up England
SENIORS B1 - Beaten finalists, Ian Wylie's team were fantastic all week. Finished 2nd in the group stages behind eventual event winners England
SENIORS B2 - Avoided the wooden spoon with two good wins to finish in 9th spot
MASTERS 1 - Disappointing campaign after the success in Malta, saying that a 13-12 win over Wales instead of the result going the other way would have seen them into the Semi Finals
MASTERS 2 - Recovered well to finish in 7th after a slow start
LADIES A - Like the Masters disappointed not to qualify out of the group into the Semi Final stage
LADIES B - Finished bottom in a 5 team group with no wins.
UNDER 18s - High hopes but finished the group in 5th missing out on a semi final berth
UNDER 23 A - Like the under 18s our U23s were one spot below Semi Final qualification
UNDER 23 B - Learning curve for the lads in the tough Bridlington environment
SPECIALS A - Runners Up. Qualified comfortably out of the group but after a nailbiting 13-12 Semi Final win over Scotland lost to a strong Welsh team in the Final.
SPECIALS B1s - After qualifying out of the group lost in an all NI Semi Final to the B2s
SPECIALS B2s - Delighted to reach the final finishing Runners Up to Scotland
