New EBA "Lift the cueball" ruling introduced

The new EBA "Lift the cueball" ruling which the NIPA are adopting from 2015/2016 for all events was introduced yesterday at our Seniors Tour Event 1. The rule was successfully used at the European Championships in Bridlington 2015 and also in Killarney at the recent Nations Cup. For NI players who are not familiar with the rule, it is as follows -

""When playing without a referee and a foul is committed and a player wishes to take the cue ball back to the baulk area, he/she (the player with two shots) MUST ask his/her opponent (the player who committed the foul) to pick up cue ball and hand it to him/her, failure to do so and picking up the cue ball yourself will result in 'LOSS OF FRAME' This does not apply when the cue ball is in the ball return chute""
