Tommy is just Grand

2016-2017 Winner Tommy Morrow

It's congratulations to Tommy Morrow. The Ballymoney cueman raced to the inaugural NIPA Grand Prix title in some style in the event which was held in the Regal Pool Club, Portadown on Sunday 18th September.

From an entry of 50 Tommy certainly didn't have an easy path to victory having to see of some big names along the way including Pat McAnally (6-4), Ryan Foster (6-2) and Rab McCullough (7-3). It didnt get any easier in the final as waiting for Morrow was Stephen Johnston who had been in top form all day and had knocked out one of the field favourites Gary Clarke (6-5). But Morrow wasn't to be denied and he ran out a convincing 7-1 winner, a timely boost as in three weeks he heads of to the World Championships in Killarney with Team NI.
