Recently when we were in Northern Ireland with the IPA I spoke to Kevin
Barton about moving forward with a ladies section at length
As the IPA push the boundaries forward for Blackball Pool in general it's the perfect time to put The Ladies Section in place.
Please have a look at this - Regardless of pool politics this is a great value event £50 entry for £1000 first prize with a good format and a mixed doubles competition as well.
If we ladies support it it could be the start of the IPA ladies section for 2017
If we support it Kevin Barton has told me he will consider a Ladies only event as soon as next year with possibility of a Ladies elite section to follow soon after
... within any lady entering The Worlds being given preferential places and discounts in future events.
I for one think it's a great opportunity for us to showcase Ladies Pool, the Ladies Final is also scheduled for a prime spot on the Saturday night at the Worlds and show the IPA that we do want to be taken seriously. Those of you that know me know it's been a dream of mine for years to have a Ladies Professional Section - I know it's not going to happen over night but this could be the start. I can't encourage you enough to enter, apart from us all having a great week it could be the start of great things to come.
