It's congratulations once again to Ronan McCarthy. The Kircubbin man has just won the 2017 IPA British Open title with a fantastic Final win against Simon Ward of Wales. Ronan also disposed of Scotland's Mark Boyle and England's Clint l'Anson along the way to his success.
There were great performances over the weekend too from Gary Clarke (Ballymena) and Rab Fee (Antrim). Gary reached the Quarter Finals of the Amateur Event and Rab the Semi Finals. Both players should have gained enough points to play on the Professional circuit next year.
