Well done to Ronan McCarthy and Tommy Morrow on winning
their venue Finals on Sunday 3rd October at the 2019 NIPA Tour Event 6. The date
for the two players to play off in the overall Final has yet to be confirmed,
watch this space.
In the Q.Club, Larne Ronan had a couple of big scares in the
Knock Out stages, twice having to win last frame deciders against Alan Johnston
and Bill McIlroy Sr, before eventually overcoming a determined Raymond Stockman
in the Final.
In Reds, Ballymena Tommy finished Runner Up in his Group
behind John Kerr but was in top form in the Knock Outs making his way to the
Final where he defeated the ever improving Dan Clarke by 7-4.
Our six Tour events have now been completed and we hope that
all who played in them enjoyed it playing plenty of Pool against plenty of different
opponents with the format giving the players of lesser ability the chance to
have a handicapped crack at players of higher ability from the Last 16 stage
onwards.
We now conclude with our seeded Finals Day on Sunday 8th
