Congratulations to Coleraine Tennents Pool League who are the new 2011 NIPA Interleague Champions. In a very exciting final against North Down & Ards, they looked down and out at 7-10 behind in the "Best of 22" frame match. But they rallied to take the match into a single frame play off with the scores level at 11-11. Davy Tosh went in for Coleraine and Sam Newell for North Down & Ards, both players brave enough to carry the hopes of their League in the dreaded final frame shoot out. The frame swung back and forward with both players showing signs of pressure, but big Sam was unlucky when he went for game and got a "kick" on his penultimate colour. Davy Tosh didn't have any sympathy and duly cleared his last 3 reds and the 8 ball to start the celebrations amongst his North Coast team mates.
