Winner - Scott Clarke |
Scott Clarke from Coleraine is the new 2011 Northern Ireland Under 21 Individual Champion. The 17 year old beat off a strong field to lift the title at the event which was held in the Ballymena United Social Club on Saturday 22nd January. 19 year old Aaron Wright from Larne was Runner Up.
Aaron took a 1-0 lead in the final with a pinpoint finish. He could have gone 2 up but snookered himself on his last colour to let Scott in. After levelling at 1-1 Scott then raced off 3 frames in a row to lead 4-1. Another fine finish from Wright reduced the arrears to 2 frames, but Clarke wasn't to be denied and finished it off in style in the 8th frame with a double double on the black for a well deserved 6-2 win
