Seniors in fine form

The Seniors 'A' Team played their final warm up tournament before the World Championships in Blackpool in October. The venue was the Sperrin Club in Coleraine on Sunday 9th September and the other 3 teams were a Coleraine Under 23 team and 2 very strong Coleraine select teams made up mostly from their successful 2012 Interleague squad.

The group stage was a round robin best of 16, and Eric Sterrett's lads breezed through their games to top the group winning 9-1 (v Coleraine U23s), 9-3 (v Damian Reid's Coleraine Select) and 8-6 (v Billy Moore's Coleraine Select). In the final they met Damian Reid's lads again and rounded of the day with a 9-5 win.

Top of the pots for the Seniors were Omagh's Davy McGurn and Coleraine's Raymond Stockman both on 6/7. Kenny English and Stephen Johnston followed closely on 5/7. From the 3 Coleraine Select teams Billy Moore was in excellent form scoring 100% with 7/7

Seniors Manager Eric Sterrett thanked the Coleraine League and the Sperrin Club for their hospitality and for putting on a bbq at the half way interval.
