SENIORS - Players must be over 40 years of age on 2/9/15
MASTERS - Players must be over 50 years of age on 2/9/15
UNDERS INFORMATION FOR TRIALS
UNDER 23s - Players who will be overage after the 2015 EBA Nations Cup in Killarney can now enter the Mens Trials to try and qualify for Mens International events in 2016 but must give the U23 section priority in remaining 2015 events. Under 23B1s & B2s to be hand selected too. More details to follow.
MENS TRIALS -
DAY 1 - Saturday 16th May - St Comgalls Club, Larne. Start time 10.00am
DAY 2 - Sunday 17th May - St Comgalls Club, Larne. Start time 10.00am
DAY 3 - Sunday 7th June - Swift Bar, Carrickfergus 11.00am
MENS A TEAM (5 person team)
Handpicked and to include an invite to the NI Mens Individual Champion
MENS B1 TEAM (11 person team)
Can retain up to 6 players from any Mens squad in the previous year. Top 5 from Trials and 1 or 2 wild cards which can be from players who did or did not play in Trials.
MENS B2 TEAM (11 person team)
Can retain up to 4 players from any Mens squad in the previous year. Players ranked 6-12 in Trials after B1 Team is finalised. 2 Wild Cards who have not played in more than 1 Adult International event which can be players who did or did not play in Trials.
LADIES TRIALS
DAY 1 - Saturday 9th May - Q. Club, Larne. Start time 11.00am

Players best 2 days scores out of a possible 3 days count towards their final finishing position
MENS, SENIORS, LADIES, MASTERS - Entry fee is £40 this is for all 3 events
Due to the increasing number of players withdrawing from squads after they have accepted selection the NIPA have introduced the following penalties. Any player withdrawing from a squad after accepting selection shall be banned from playing in the next International Team and Individual event for which they are eligible. Any player withdrawing from a squad for the 2nd time in a 2 year period will be banned for the next 3 International Team and Individual events for which they are available.
Exceptions to above are for deaths in the family or a medical condition for which a Doctors line shall be required
It is hoped the above will reduce the problem which can severely disrupt Managers plans and team moral from A to B1 to B2 teams in a section. If a player does withdraw the Manager can only take 1 player from a lower team and only if he/she is left with 4/5 10/11 or 6/7 in attendance at an event. If a situation develops where a Manager is more than one player short then replacements must be selected in accordance with the selection process but cannot be players who have already been selected for another team unless the Managers and the player/s agree on it
If a player in a B1 Trial selection position refuses selection then his/her space is offered to the next player down and so on until it is deemed by managers and Exec that players are not of International standard for the upcoming event.
An Individual Champion can refuse the invite without punishment if he/she wishes to trial for another age appropriate category
A player can only Trial in the one category, his/her preferred category to play in. eg if a player whose age lets him/her play Seniors Pool enters the Seniors Trials the Seniors Managers have first choice on him/her over any other section.
Once a Manager selects his/her squad, that squad is for all events in the year. Exception to this is withdrawls and age relevant criteria
A Masters B2, an Under 18 B1 and an Under 15 B1 Team may be formed depending on Trials.
NIPA dress code applies to all Trials
The Executive Committee reserve the right to add to or amend these terms and conditions if deemed necessary
