Thanks go to all the Juniors who represented Team NI at the U15 & U18 EBA Nations Cup in Mansfield, England last week. The standard of the competition was incredibly high and many of the players from 14 years of age and up would not be out of place in the Mens section which is where I'm sure we will see a lot of them in the years ahead.
Our U15s reached the Semi Final for the second event in a row but lost out 0-8 to the evential Champions Wales. For Wales, 15 year old Liam Griffiths won winners medals in the Team event, the Individual event, the Doubles and the Speed Pool. Top of the pots for NI was Larne's Aaron Rolston, 14. Aaron nearly made the Individual Semi Final braking dry in the deciding frame before his Scottish opponent Mark McAllister cleared the table.
Our U18s were heavily defeated in most matches though they did earn a bonus point in their final group game against Scotland. Top of the pots was Belfast's Daryl McKee 17.
