'A's warm up with win

The Northern Ireland 'A' Team (pictured right) warmed up for Bridlington with a match against a strong Carrick & District League select side in the seaside town of Whitehead, County Antrim. It was the first time Manager Darren Sterrett had got his new squad together and it proved a very worthwhile exercise. Carrick started the best and led 5-4 after 9 frames in the best of 33 frames match. But that was the last time they held the lead as the NI boys started to gel and get into their game. The 3x 11 session match scores were 6-5, 7-4 and 6-5 to the NI 'A' Team giving a final result of 19-14.
Willie Eakin and Marc Hutchinson, had a 100% record on the day both on 3/3.
